14:30–15:15 | FRAME: Research Findings on the Animation Industries of Sweden, Ukraine and Lithuania

FRAME is an international research project comparing the structure, needs, and opportunities of the animation industries in Sweden, Ukraine, and Lithuania. The presentation will explore funding, education, the professional environment, and the key challenges facing the sector in all three countries. Special attention will be given to opportunities for partnerships, knowledge exchange, and future international co-productions.

15:30–16:15 | Toon Boom StartingPoint

StartingPoint is Toon Boom’s educational programme for teaching animation and storyboarding using Harmony and Storyboard Pro. It combines ready-to-use learning modules, practical assignments, quizzes, and tools for tracking students’ progress. The presentation will demonstrate how the programme can be integrated into the educational process and help prepare students for professional careers in the animation industry.

16:15–16:45 | PlayFrame: Boosting Animation & Gamedev in Ukraine

PlayFrame is a UNESCO-supported LINOLEUM project bringing together animation, gamedev, and VFX/CGI to strengthen Ukraine’s creative industries. The project includes sector research, professional training, the development of international connections, and the creation of a shared industry platform. During the presentation, we will introduce the opportunities PlayFrame will create for Ukrainian professionals and companies.

17:00–18:00 | 100 Years of Ukrainian Animation: Preparing for 2027

In 2027, Ukraine will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Ukrainian animation, and the professional community is already working together on a joint programme of events and initiatives. During the presentation, we will share the results of work across five key areas: exhibitions and museums, archives and documentation, technology and innovation, curatorial programming, and education. We will also discuss upcoming projects, partnerships, and opportunities to become involved in the 2027 programme.
