Despite the fact that Kherson has never had a film school or a film studio, it has had a fairly strong film movement since the 1970s, and it has only grown with the advent of accessible technology in our lives. Ustin Danchuk, Volodymyr Rainhearth Rahulsky and Andriy Polshyn, the founders of the "Fly on a Stick" Production Center, are an important part of this film community. Since 2014, when they founded the First Film School in Kherson, they have been involved in both education and amateur films production, participating in a number of film festivals both in Ukraine and abroad. With the beginning of the Covid restrictions, filming became quite challenging, so it was decided to focus on creating animated films. We are pleased to present you the animation program of the First Kherson Film School and the "Fly on a Stick" production center produced in 2021-2023. The program includes both educational films ("Kherson News", "Stubborn Worms") as well as amateur ones ("Why Kherson buses work much worse than Mykolaiv ones", "Undark").
