Mark Tulip was born and raised in Lugansk and without any regret he thinks that he will be buried there as well. He has children and a granddaughter, a garden, a cat called Donbass and a dog Malva. However, political situation in Ukraine in 2014 changes his habitual way of living. He witnesses the splitting of his own family into pieces and then his children leave him, heading into different directions – his sons set off to serve the opposite armies and his daughter with the child flees from Ukraine. Mark Tulip intends to live on his life on his motherland where his wife was buried long before, but when the war comes to Lugansk he has to escape, abandoning his garden, the dog and the cat forever. And still, the hardships of new life don’t come to the end…
