The lecture will tell about Persepolis (2000 – 2003), a graphic novel by Marjane Satrapi, which is part of the canon of contemporary authored comics. Persepolis is an autobiographic coming of age story of Satrapi himself, which starts against the background of Iranian revolution, brings the country to isolation and the character to complicated life between Iran and France, society and family, state and personality.
