A new generation of Ukrainian creators presents their independent animation studio. Sharing their own journey, projects, challenges, and mission, the studio’s producers will talk about their experience of creating non-commercial auteur films and explore the impact and hidden power of indie animation.

Karyna Tkachova is an artist, producer, and founder of LUCKYSIDE Animation. She graduated from the Kyiv National I. K. Karpenko-Karyi University of Theatre, Cinema and Television with a degree in Film and Television Production Management (2026). She produces animated projects, coordinates teamwork, and develops the studio’s growth strategy.

Mykola Shkoda is a director, screenwriter, producer, co-founder of LUCKYSIDE Animation, and project coordinator. He graduated from the Kyiv National I. K. Karpenko-Karyi University of Theatre, Cinema and Television with a degree in Film and Television Production Management (2026). His directing work includes the animated short film The Cleaner, which has been screened at international film festivals.
