Samuel Patthey will share his approach to storytelling and visual development, tracing how observation, drawing and experimentation shape his films from the first sketches to the final animation. Influenced by Art Brut, he works intuitively, building narratives through atmosphere, rhythm, sound and subtle human gestures rather than relying on conventional storytelling. Drawing on Travelogue Tel Aviv, the Annecy Cristal-winning Ecorce (co-directed with Silvain Monney), and his latest short Sans Voix, Patthey will explore how the subject of each film gradually defines its visual language and form.
