Simon Breeveld breaks down one of his previous music videos to explore the creative decisions behind his distinctive visual language — from concept and references to 3D animation, rhythm, sound, and the relationship between image and music. A Belgian director and 3D artist, Simon has created music videos for Brussels-based artists including ECHT!, Avalanche Kaito, and Jean-Paul Groove, with works such as 500Gr., Permanent, Toulelé, Baboon, Trash Club, and Highed. He is also no stranger to LINOLEUM: his music videos have previously appeared in the festival’s Commissioned Film Competition, with ECHT! – Highed receiving a Special Mention in 2025. This session offers a closer look at the process and experimentation behind the work of an artist who has been part of the LINOLEUM programme and now returns as a jury member.
