We’ll discuss differences in style and trends, how production pipelines are built across markets, and how approaches to portfolios and job hunting diverge. We’ll also discuss why working with production references isn’t always that easy for Ukrainian artists—and what to do about it.

Tina Bulba is a background designer and painter in animation (Haunted Hotel (Netflix), Stories from Backwoods (RTÉ, Ireland), To-To, At the Edge of Worlds (Ukraine), etc.). She is the author of the Ukraine-focused art project Stolen Worlds, co-founder of Games Gathering, and a digital art instructor with 10 years of experience (Projector School and others). She is part of the warm, supportive art community “Defense Against the Dark Arts” and the creator of the YouTube channel «Люся Малює» (“Liusia Maliuie”).
