Cuaderno de Nombres is an animated short film based on archival and journalistic research conducted by Universidad Diego Portales. It pays tribute to the 51 minors who were victims of forced disappearance during Chile’s civil-military dictatorship, particularly in the days and months following the military coup of September 11, 1973. Blending tenderness, horror, and hope, the film expands the notion of a human rights memorial, bringing these children and adolescents back into collective memory through fragments of their everyday lives, the testimonies of their families, and the rituals that keep their presence alive.
